dc.description.abstractO Brasil abriga alguns dos biomas com as maiores abundância e diversidade de espécies da fauna mundial, como a Mata Atlântica, que está relacionada entre as áreas mais importantes para preservar-se a biodiversidade do planeta. Dentre as áreas preservadas na Mata Atlântica destacam-se os Parques Nacionais, como o Parque Nacional do Itatiaia. A condição de um ecossistema pode ser fornecida pelas aves, e o parasitismo pode ser considerado para avaliação de um ecossistema, pois os parasitos podem afetar a morfologia, comportamento e saúde das aves, mesmo em infecções sub-letais, exercendo importante pressão ecológica e evolucionária. Neste contexto, os sabiás (Turdus spp.) são potenciais modelos para observarse a dinâmica dos seus parasitas e suas densidades frente aos diversos fatores ambientais naturais e antrópicos aos quais são submetidos. Os sabiás têm amplas abundância, diversidade e distribuição geográfica, com espécies mais ou menos adaptáveis a ambientes antropizados. Desta forma, o presente estudo teve por objetivo maior identificar e quantificar os parasitas coccídios de sabiás de diferentes espécies e localidades dentro e nas proximidades do Parque Nacional do Itatiaia, além de relacionar o parasitismo com alguns aspectos biológicos e ecológicos dos sabiás. Neste sentido, este trabalho apresenta uma revisão da literatura científica nos temas de ecologia e taxonomia de coccídios de sabiás, e, como resultados, quatros artigos científicos descrevendo novos hospedeiro (Turdus leucomelas Vieillot, 1818) e localidades (Parque Nacional do Itatiaia e Cacaria) para Isospora albicollis Lainson & Shaw, 1989; duas novas espécies Isospora sabiai Pinho, Rodrigues, Silva, Lopes, Oliveira, Ferreira, Cardozo, Luz, Ferreira, Lopes & Berto, 2017 de sabiás-coleira Turdus albicollis Vieillot, 1818, sabiás-laranjeira Turdus rufiventris Vieillot, 1818, sabiás-barranco T. leucomelas e sabiás-una Turdus flavipes Vieillot, 1818, e Isospora machadoae Pinho, Silva, Rodrigues, Lopes, Oliveira, Luz, Ferreira, Lopes& Berto, 2017 de sabiás-coleira T. albicollis e, finalmente, um artigo sobre aspectos da diversidade e distribuição dos coccídios de sabiás no Parque Nacional do Itatiaia.por

dc.description.abstractOtherBrazil has some of the biomes with the greatest abundance and diversity of species of the world fauna, such as the Atlantic Forest, which is related among the most important areas for preserving the biodiversity of the planet. Among the areas preserved in the Atlantic Forest are the National Parks, such as the Itatiaia National Park. The condition of an ecosystem can be provided by the birds, and the parasitism can be considered for the evaluation of an ecosystem, because the parasites can affect the morphology, behavior and health of birds, even at sub-lethal infections, developing an pressure ecological and evolutionary. In this context, thrushes (Turdus spp.) Are potential models to observe the dynamics of their parasites and their densities in relation to the various natural and anthropic environmental factors to which they are submitted. Sabiás have ample abundance, diversity and geographical distribution, with species more or less adaptable to anthropized environments. Thus, the present study aimed to identify and quantify the coccidian parasites of thrushes of different species and locations in and around the Itatiaia National Park, and relate parasitism with some biological and ecological aspects of thrushes. Thus, this study presents a scientific review on ecology and taxonomy of coccidian parasites of thrushes, and as a result, four articles describing a new host (Turdus leucomelas Vieillot, 1818) and new locations (Itatiaia National Park and Cacaria) for Isospora albicollis Lainson & Shaw, 1989; two new species Isospora sabiai Pinho, Rodrigues, Silva, Lopes, Oliveira, Ferreira, Cardozo, Luz, Ferreira, Lopes & Berto, 2017 fromwhite-necked thrushes Turdus albicollis Vieillot, 1818, rufous-bellied thrushes Turdus rufiventris Vieillot, 1818, pale-breasted thrushes T. leucomelas and yellowlegged thrushes Turdus flavipes Vieillot, 1818, and Isospora machadoae Pinho, Silva, Rodrigues, Lopes, Oliveira, Luz, Ferreira, Lopes & Berto, 2017 from white-necked thrushes T. albicollis and, finally, an article on aspects of the diversity and distribution of the coccidia of thrushes in the Itatiaia National Park.eng
