| dc.description.abstract | Durante o período de abril de 1977 a marco de 1979, foi estudada a dinâmica sazonal dos helmintos de 48 cabritos machos de diversas idades procedentes da Micro Região Homogênea Sertão de Canudos, Bahia, e portadores de infecções naturais. Os animais foram mantidos nas mesmas condições de manejo dos rebanhos das fazendas de origem e sem tratamentos anti-helmínticos. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida por meio de exames coprológicos e necropsias. As espécies encontradas foram Haemonchus contortus (100%), Trichostrongylus colubriformis e Oesophagostomum venulosum (93,7%), Trichostrongylus axei (91,6%), Skrjabinema ovis (72,9%), Trichuris ovis (64,5%), Strongyloides papillosus (62,5%), Cysticercus tenuicollis (31,2%), Moniezia expansa (18,7%) e Bunostomum trigonocephalum (12,5%). Em geral, a dinâmica sazonal das infecções evidenciou picos em junho-julho e novembro, ou seja, no final do outono, no inverno e no final da primavera. Destacam-se a ausência de Coo- 77 peria spp., a baixa ocorrência de Bunostomum trigonocephalum e a alta prevalência e intensidade de infecção por Trichuris ovis. As observações da larvacultura confirmaram os achados de necropsia. Foi delineado um programa de controle. | por |

| dc.description.abstractOther | A study was made of the seasonal dynamics of the helminths of 48 male during the period April 1977 to March 1979. The animals were from the Micro Região Homogenea Sertão de Canudos, Bahia State, Brazil, and were all naturally infected; during this study they were maintained under the same conditions of management as the flocks on the original farms, and without anthelmintic treatment. This study was carried out by means of faecal and post mortem examinations. The following species were found: Haemonchus contortus (100%), Trichostrongylus colubriformis and Oesophagostomum venulosum (93,7%), Trichostrongylus axei (91,6%), Skrjabinema ovis (72,9%), Trichuris ovis (64,6%), Strongyloides papillosus (62,5%), Cysticercus tenuicollis (31,2%), Moniezia expansa (18,7%) and Bunostomum trigonocephalum (12,5%). Generalizing, peaks were observed in the seasonal pattern in June-July and November, that is, at the end of 79 autumm, during the winter and at the and of spring. The absence of Cooperia spp. is noteworthy, as is the low level of Bunostomum trigonocephalum and the high level of Trichuris ovis. The results of the larvaculture confirm those of post mortem. A treatment programme is outlined. | eng |
