The aim of the study was the evaluation and comparison of the diagnostic methods, as bacterial culture swab / tweezers, flush and non-flush centrifuged and uterine cytology clamp/ uterine brush and flush before and after the treatments self hemotherapy and antibiotic therapy. Before the treatments the bacterial growth swab/tweezers, non flush techniques were centrifuged. The flush had 100%, 76.4 % and 94.1%, respectively (H = 0.91, p = 0.63). The total rate of the bacteria Escherichia coli was 28 %, Serratia marcescens and Corynebacterium spp 14 %, Alcaligenes faecalis 10 %, Proteus mirabilis 8%, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus spp and Bordetella spp 6%, Moraxella spp, Citrobacter freudi, Klebsiella oxytoca and Enterobacter Sakazaki 2 %. Regarding the type of bacteria, seven samples were observed with a tweezer, another sample with the non-flush centrifuged and 10 with the flush centrifuged ( H = 0:56, p = 0.75). After the post-treatment the control group showed a bacterial growth of 100% for each of the three culture methods. For the self-hemotherapy methods swab/tweezer, flush and non-flush centrifugation a bacterial growth of 100 %, 80 % and 80 % respectively ( H = 0.86, p = 0.64 ) was observed. The group of antibiotic therapy, includes swab/tweezers, flush and non- flush centrifuged methods. In summary they showed a bacterial growth of 66.66 %, 50 % and 100% respectively ( H = 0.86, p = 0.64 ). Three group treatments showed no significant differences ( H = 0.86, p = 0.64 ) within the used techniques. The frequencies of the bacteries, post-treament, were, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Corynebacterium spp 22.85%, Serratia marcescens and Alcaligenes faecalis 14.28%, Bordetella spp 11.43%, Moraxella spp 8.57% and Escherichia coli 5.72%. By using the uterine cytology like the tweezers/brush, 100% evaluated mares showed increased number of neutrophils and the number of centrifuged uterine flush was 52.94% . The average number of neutrophils was higher as the uterine flush centrifugation ( 5.6 ± 1.6 ). In comparison with cytology tweezers/ brush ( 3.95 ± 0.3 ), but not significantly different ( U = 88.5, p = 0:23 ). The parameters of the blood cell counts were evaluated for global leukocyte counts, specific leukocyte (neutrophils ), hematocrit and fibrinogen in several examinations ( T0 , T6 , T24 and T final ). All in all no differences could be obeserved.eng
