dc.description.abstractOther | The present study was carried out at the National Forest Mário Xavier in the municipal district of Seropédica, RJ, with the objective to evaluate the carbon and nitrogen addition through the litter contribution; and soil organic carbon and nitrogen stock´s, in different forest formations. The total litter contribution values varied of 8.82 to 6.95 Mg ha-1.year-1 for the areas of Mimosa caesalpinaeolia and Carapa guianenses, respectively. In relation to C-organic and nitrogen additions by litter, was verified that the area of Mimosa caesalpinaeolia is contributing with the highest monthly flow of those elements for the soil. The fraction leaf was that more contributed in the litter and the fruit fraction was the one that presented to lowest amount, approximately 55.0 and 1.0% (on average in the three study areas), respectively. The secondary forest area showed the highest carbon stock´s values and tended to present the highest nitrogen stock´s values. | pt_BR |
