| dc.description.abstract | A pulga Ctenocephalides felis (Siphonaptera: Pulicidae) é um inseto parasito de cães e gatos com distribuição cosmopolita. São insetos de importância na saúde pública, destacam-se por serem vetores de diversos agentes patogênicos a animais e ao homem. O número de pesquisas e de tutores que buscam por produtos de origem vegetal, menos tóxicos e que causem menos danos ao ambiente, é crescente. O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar a composição química dos óleos essenciais de Copaifera reticulata, Citrus paradisi, Lavandula hybrida e Salvia sclarea, avaliar as atividades inseticida e, repelente, calcular as concentrações letais 50 (CL50) e 90 (CL90) e eficácia residual frente à pulga Ctenocephalides felis felis. A análise da composição química foi feita por Cromatografia Gasosa (CG) equipado com detector de ionização por chama (FID), e um injetor split / split-less para separar e detectar os constituintes voláteis dos óleos essenciais. Para o teste in vitro, preparou-se solução-mãe dos óleos essenciais (OE’s) diluídas em acetona 20%, em diferentes concentrações. Para avaliar a atividade inseticida foram usados dez exemplares de cada estágio (ovo, larva, pupa e adultos). Para avaliar a inibição do ciclo biológico foram utilizados dez ovos e, para o teste de eficácia residual foram utilizadas dez pulgas adultas. Todos os testes foram realizados em seis repetições. A fase adulta foi alocada em tubos de ensaio (1x10 cm), e uma fita de papel filtro impregnada foi inserida com as concentrações de cada óleo essencial. Os testes na fase imatura, placa de petri (60x15mm) foram utilizadas, e inseridas em um disco de papel filtro impregnado com as mesmas concentrações. O número de insetos vivos e mortos após determinado tempo de exposição foram registrados. Utilizamos para calcular o percentual de mortalidade a seguinte fórmula: mortalidade (%) = número de insetos mortos X 100/número de insetos incubados. Para avaliação estatística, operou-se os dados tabulados e, a análise de Probit foi usado o programa computacional R Studio Team software para calcular os valores das CL50 com intervalo de confiança de 95%. Os constituintes com maior percentual encontrados foram: β-cariofileno para o OE de C. reticulata (OECR), linalol para L. hybrida (OELH), acetato de linalila para S. sclarea (OESS) e, limoneno para C. paradisi (OECP). A respeito da atividade inseticida, foi possível obter a CL50 para os estágios de adulto, ovo, larva pupa e inibição do desenvolvimento de todos os OE`s, exceto para o OECP. Para a ação repelente, todos os óleos demonstraram atividade na concentração de 800 μg/cm2. Na persistência da eficácia, foi possível observar que o OECR apresentou maior persistência da eficácia, quando comparado aos outros. Conclui-se que cada OE testado apresenta uma melhor atividade inseticida para cada fase de C. felis felis. | pt_BR |

| dc.description.abstractOther | The flea Ctenocephalides felis (Siphonaptera: Pulicidae) is a parasitic insect of dogs and cats with a cosmopolitan distribution. They are insects of importance in public health, they stand out for being vectors of several pathogenic agents to animals and man. The number of research and tutors looking for products of plant origin, less toxic and causing less damage to the environment, is growing. The aim of this research was to determine the chemical composition of the essential oils of Copaifera reticulata, Citrus paradisi, Lavandula hybrida and Salvia sclarea, evaluate the insecticidal activity, repellent action, calculate the lethal concentrations 50 (LC50) and 90 (LC90) and residual efficacy against to the flea Ctenocephalides felis felis. Chemical composition analysis was performed by Gas Chromatography (GC) equipped with a flame ionization detector (FID), and a split/split-less injector to separate and detect the volatile constituents of essential oils. For the in vitro test, a stock solution of essential oils (EO's) diluted in 20% acetone was prepared at different concentrations. To evaluate the insecticidal activity, ten specimens of each stage (egg, larva, pupa and adults) were used. To evaluate the inhibition of the biological cycle, ten eggs were used, and, for the residual efficacy test, ten adult fleas were used. All tests were performed in six repetitions. The adult phase was placed in test tubes (1x10 cm), and a strip of impregnated filter paper was inserted with the concentrations of each essential oil. The tests in the immature phase, a petri dish (60x15mm) was used, and inserted into a filter paper disc impregnated with the same concentrations. The number of live and dead insects after a given time of exposure was recorded. We used the following formula to calculate the mortality percentage: mortality (%) = number of dead insects X 100/number of incubated insects. For statistical evaluation, the tabulated data were operated, and, for the Probit analysis, the computer program R Studio Team software was used to calculate the LC50 values with a confidence interval of 95%. The constituents with the highest percentage found were: β- caryophyllene for C. reticulata EO (OECR), linalool for L. hybrida (OELH), linalyl acetate for S. sclarea (OESS) and limonene for C. paradisi (OECP). Regarding the insecticidal activity, it was possible to obtain the LC50 for the stages of adult, egg, larva, pupa and inhibition of the development of all OE`s, except for the OECP. For the repellent action, all oils showed activity for the concentration of 800 μg/cm2. Regarding the persistence of efficacy, it was possible to observe that the OECR presented greater persistence of efficacy, when compared to the others. It is concluded that each tested EO presents a better insecticidal activity for each phase of C. felis felis. | en |
