| pt_BR |

| dc.description.abstractOther | Among cutaneous pathologies of equids (Equus caballus) (Mammalia: Equidae) are importants those caused by species classified as habronematids, heteroxenous helminths. One of these species, Habronema muscae Carter (Ransom,1911) (Nematoda: Habronematidae) possess cosmopolite distribution and demonstrate to have high frequence at Brazil, showing high mean intensity and prevalence at Rio de Janeiro. That species necessarily develops in dipterous muscids, commonly on Musca domestica L. 1758 (Diptera: Muscidae), during its first parasitic phase. Therefore, the transmission of nematode depends from frequence of vectors. The previous studies of this helminth group were directed to collection of biological data from both hosts and also those related to epizootiological data of cutaneous and gastric habronemiasis. With the actual technic advances of the biochemistry and mathematical modelling field, become viable to iniciate the protein characterization, to discuss and to explore the knowledgement on H.muscae epizootiology. With these purposes, the first bioassay searched to characterize the protein content of adult helminths and points diferences possibles between two species of genera Habronema. Consequently, a collecting of habronematids were realized and the nematodes were sexual and taxonomically identified. The sample groups were separately macerated and its protein content purified before to be submitted to electrophoretical running in poliacrilamide gel. The protein content zimograms of males and females of both Habronema sp species were compared and revealed qualitative, quantitative, intra- and inter-specific diferences. One second experiment was conducted to evaluate the parasitism influence of H. muscae larvae on the longevity of M. domestica, main vector. Therefore two muscids larvae groups were kept at artificial diet. In one of groups were innoculated first stage larvae of H. muscae. Adults recently emerged from puparium of both muscoid groups were kept at separated cages. Daily, the mortality was compared between the two different groups and served to note a little but significative negative interference of parasitism by H. muscae on vector mean longevity. The last one point was directed to an widest and theoretic question related to the habronematids bioecology. Hence, a literature review and selection was realized to obtain epizootiological and populational data from H.muscae. In the next step was evaluated the possibility to implement theoretic models that can help to suppose populational parameters to H. muscae. Biostatistical treatments were introduced as study purposes. Mainly linear and polinomial regression were demonstrated useful to relate the studied variables enabling to realize estimations. The study resulted in a mathematical model that utilize climatological data (temperature, precipitation and Köppen classification) and theoric mean fecundity of vectors, becoming possible to make estimation of stational mean intensity and prevalence of H. muscae to anywhere world climate. | en |
