| Abstract: | O presente trabalho consiste em um estudo sobre o período inicial dos descobrimentos portugueses, durante o século XV, e sua relação com o contexto político do reino. A dissertação analisará as crônicas de Gomes Eanes de Zurara, cronista oficial de D. Afonso V (1448-1481) e a construção de uma memória vitoriosa sobre os feitos portugueses em África. Ao passo que este ideal será posto em perspectiva, em que tais empreendimentos marítimos foram permeados de reveses, de avanços e retrocessos que serão considerados a luz da conjuntura do reino ibérico, principalmante, após, a Batalha de Alfarrobeira |
| Abstract: | The present article consists of a study on the initial period of the Portuguese discoveries in the XV century and its relation with the political context of the Portuguese kingdom. The dissertation will analyze the chronicles of Gomes Eanes de Zurara, official chronicler of D. Afonso V (1448-1481) and the construction of a victorious memory of the Portuguese acts in Africa. While this ideal will be put in perspective that such maritime enterprises were permeated by troubles, advances and setbacks that will be considered the light of the conjuncture of the Iberian kingdom, especially after the Battle of Alfarrobeira |
